February 27th - March 1st, 2012 - Crossing Borders @ 2nd Annual World Conference of Women's Shelters
- Washington, D.C.
- Through the participation of Forks Abuse Program in the Crossing Borders Project, Bilingual Advocate Amy McIntyre was invited to be a co-presenting trainer, with Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence, at the 2nd Annual World Conference of Women's Shelters. There Amy will offer a presentation on identifying and breaking the extra barriers to safety facing local immigrant survivors of domestic and sexual violence who work in brush harvesting.

December 12th, 2011 - Alter for Virgin of Guadalupe Day
- To celebrate & participate in this Hispanic cultural holiday, Forks Abuse Program is installing a cultural altar at the office. All who would like to have the name and/or picture of a family member or friend that they have lost or miss may bring down a picture for the altar, or write down the person's name on a piece of paper. There is paper and a pen available to write it down and add it at the office.

- Kathleen Morris from WARN & IRC in Seattle (www.warn-trafficking.org & www.rescue.org), the Commander of the Seattle P.D. Human Trafficking Unit, Lt. Eric Sano, and the Assistant Attorney General of Western WA, Ye-Ting Woo, will be giving a presentation and training around what constitutes human trafficking & identifying possible victims of human trafficking.
- There will be a social hour and time for Q & A as well.
- This event is sponsored by Forks Abuse Program in conjunction with Soroptomists International - SIORF.
